SS IPTV on Samsung & LG Smart TV: Full Setup Guide

SS IPTV turns a Samsung or LG television into an IPTV player without any extra box. You install it from the TV's own app store, then link your playlist with a short connection code — no Firestick, no sideloading, no Downloader code. This guide covers both TV brands, the connection-code step that trips most people up, and the errors you're most likely to see.

Before you start

• An LG (webOS) or Samsung (Tizen) Smart TV that is online

Install SS IPTV on an LG Smart TV (webOS)

Press Home on the remote and open LG Content Store (on newer sets it's simply 'Apps'). Search for 'SS IPTV', open the listing and select Install. When it finishes, launch it from the app bar. LG has carried SS IPTV for years, so on most webOS TVs this is the smoothest route.

Install SS IPTV on a Samsung Smart TV (Tizen)

Press Home, open Apps and use the search icon to look for 'SS IPTV'. Install and open it. Samsung's catalogue varies by country and TV model year, so if SS IPTV doesn't appear, your region's store doesn't list it — in that case plug a Firestick or Android TV stick into an HDMI port and follow our Firestick guide instead.

There is no Downloader app on Samsung or LG TVs. Searches like 'ss iptv downloader code' lead nowhere — on a Smart TV you load your line with SS IPTV's connection code or an M3U link.

Get your SS IPTV connection code

Inside SS IPTV open Settings (the gear icon) → General and select 'Get code'. A short code appears on screen. It is temporary and tied to this TV, so generate it only when you're ready to use it — if it expires, just press 'Get code' again for a fresh one.

Load your playlist

Option A — let us do it

Send the connection code to IPTVShop on WhatsApp. We link your playlist to that code and tell you when it's done — usually within a few minutes.

Option B — link it yourself on ss-iptv.com

1. 1On a phone or computer, open ss-iptv.com and go to Users → Editor of playlist.
2. 2Enter the connection code from your TV and press Add device.
3. 3Choose 'External playlists', add a name, and paste the M3U link we sent you.
4. 4Press Save, then restart SS IPTV on the TV.

Watch and use the guide

After the restart, a new tile with your playlist name appears on the SS IPTV home screen. Open it to browse channels by category. Programme guide data appears for channels that carry EPG; the on-demand library is easier to browse in a dedicated player like IPTV Smarters if you also own a streaming stick.

SS IPTV errors and fixes

'Failed to load remote content'

SS IPTV could not download the playlist from the link it was given. Check the M3U link is pasted in full (no spaces or missing characters), that your subscription is active, and that the TV's internet works in another app. If all three are fine, ask us to re-issue the link — a fresh URL fixes it in most cases.

Playlist is empty or doesn't appear

Fully close SS IPTV (not just back out of it) and reopen it after the playlist is linked. If it's still missing, the code may have expired before it was used — generate a new one and link it again.

Channels load but won't play

Usually a network issue. Test one channel, then another; if none play, restart the router and TV. Our buffering guide covers the deeper fixes.

SS IPTV vs a streaming stick

If you watch mostly live channels, SS IPTV on the TV is enough. If you want the on-demand library and a polished guide, a streaming stick with IPTV Smarters or TiviMate is worth the small extra cost.
